Students from Princeville and Dunlap high schools got a taste of what working for a marketing and communications firm is really like! On February 24th Simantel hosted job shadows that spent the day sitting side by side with our creative team. The students had the opportunity to ask questions and gain understanding of what it takes to make it in the design field. After a full morning of working hard the students got to kick back and have pizza with the staff of Simantel!
Sometimes the blog updates get bumped for “real work,” and over the last few months it happened a lot. Here’s a gallery of stuff we never got around to posting. Fast-forward to 2010!
Way back in September, Rhonda Pelka took over the controls at the front desk. If you haven't met her yet, this is what she looks like.
From Minonk to Minier, Mackinaw to Maquon – everybody in the greater Peoria region is caught up in this crazy new dance craze. It’s called the Misty and it goes like this…
One of our favorite clients, Mark Johnson, recently retired. We hate to see him go, so we decided to give him his own honorary office right here at Simantel. It’s cozy.
Simantel hosted three Dunlap High School and three Princeville High School students last month for a half-day job shadow experience. The eleventh-graders had interest in learning about marketing, graphic design, advertising, and film. Employees from both the account and creative teams spent time with the students, sharing recent projects and answering questions about life at Simantel.
Three Simantelites turned another year older in February, and to help them celebrate, we all ate some cake. Happy Birthday to Anna Potochnic, Accounting Assistant; Pam Aiello, Senior Creative Strategist; and Tracy Blasiak, Accounting Intern.
While we were able to use several images of our newly remodeled space for our new-and-improved website, there were thousands more cool photos that didn’t quite fit. Here are a few of our favorites. Thanks again to Rick Kessinger, Bloomington-based photographer, for making our office look extra sweet on film.
